243. If you could be in the Olympics (summer or winter), what event/sport would you want to do most? Why?
I could be predictable and say shooting since it's a skill I use at work, but I've never liked being predictable. It often has unpleasant results, like permanent disabilities -- or death -- and I don't intend to repeat that lovely experience for a long, long time.
However, there are other skills I use at work; things I keep up with to keep myself fit -- and alive. Not to mention a bit of... sport, shall we say? From time to time. There's always judo or taekwondo, but I'd probably fare better in boxing. There's a lot of tradition there, with a number of military-trained boxers entering the Olympics. Of course, I'd be the old man on the team, but I can think of far worse things...
Yes, I'd probably go with boxing. A lot of the other skills I've honed over the years don't fit themselves neatly into an Olympic sport -- and more's the pity, considering some of the fine specimens of human fitness that populate the games. Hmmn. There's always party time at the Olympic village...
